Once again, we united hearts and souls! More than 2,000 people attended the 8th Annual Venezuelan Cultural Fest, enjoying a special day filled with games, music, dancing, delicious food, surprises, laughter, and shared stories. Approximately 2,750 portions of food were served, and hundreds of gifts were distributed to children. It was a day of joy and emotion as communities across New York came together to celebrate our culture and heritage.
This event was a great success—not only for the Venezuelan community but also for the broader Hispanic community, with representatives from different countries showing their support. While people in Venezuela cannot raise their voices freely, here in New York, they can speak openly and share their reality with the world. Despite facing rejection and fear around migration, the Hispanic community has shown immense compassion, welcoming Venezuelans with warmth and unconditional support.
From all of us at FundaveNYC, thank you to everyone who joined us for this important event. Our arms remain open, and we are committed to supporting our community in every way we can.
We look forward to seeing you at next year’s event!
